Peter Taylor[10]. M. P. (late) - What about the sea piece? Have you got it from Brighton - If not call upon Madame Venturi[11]. Carlyle Cottage, King's Road Chelsea - (just past opposite Paulton Square, and beg her to intercede with Mrs Taylor[12] - The picture which is very dirty should go at once to Richards[13] to be cleaned & varnished - Frame in very bad state I fear - Grau[14] had better see what can be done - he might find a larger frame in my studio that would cut down to it - the old frame of Carlyle[15], or the one of my Mother[16], would do, regilded - -
'send for'
[p. 2] Leathard[17] - or Leathardt - in Newcastle - Something to do with lead works - an old buyer of Rossetti[18], Madox Brown[19] and so on - He has beautiful picture of mine - Write and borrow: "The Lange Leizen[20]," a girl in Japanese dress painting a vase - . Get and send to Richards to clean & varnish -

Shannon[24]. Have you got his picture? Sea piece -
Date[25] - Fix as late as possible - because wish all pictures to be in good condition - properly framed & glazed - Don't trouble owners upon the frame question - Stir up Grau - of course he cannot put new frames on every thing - but what he is doing, he requires much pushing -
Wyndham[26]. (Belgrave Square). I have written myself as you told me you had heard nothing -
Yours truly
J McN. Whistler.
