My dear Cowan -
Your little picture, "Rose & Pink - The Mothers Sleep"[3], as I wired to you yesterday, has been sent to you - It went to you on Monday night, carefully packed by the Goupils - so thats all right - I hope you will be more pleased with it than ever - as I have [p. 2] seen to its completeness - and put the Butterfly in the right place!
The "Rose & Silver[4]" comes to you almost immediately from the Grafton Gallery where it hung in the place of honour & made a small disturbance! - of which one of these days! - I will tell your son[5] about it - for I hope to have the pleasure of seeing him tomorrow -
In great haste & with kindest regards to Mrs. Cowan[6] & yourself
Always sincerely Yrs
J McNeill Whistler
