Dated by comparison of writing and butterfly signature with other menus (see #06883).

#06882, #06883, #06888, #06889, #06890 and #06892 are on similar wove paper with watermark of a crest and 'Antique / Parchment / Note Paper'.

3.  Potage
The lavish menu, written in French, consisted of leek and potato soup (literally, good housewife's soup), forcemeat balls (probably fish - the speciality of Lindsey Houses), chicken savouries, small oven baked beef fillets, asparagus, lobster Provencale, salad, orange jelly, camembert and coffee.

4.  Lindsey Houses
JW lived in 2 Lindsey Row from 1863-1878, and often called it 'Lindsey Houses'.

5.  Jeckyll - Heilbuth - Tissot - Moore
The guests included Jacques ('James') Joseph Tissot (1836-1902), painter and etcher [more], probably Albert Joseph Moore (1841-1893), painter [more], and Thomas Jeckyll (1827-1881), architectural designer [more]; and possibly Ferdinand Heilbuth (1816-1889), genre painter [more].
