You know that Society of Illustrators[2] of which your a Vice President is going to get out a book in order to try to make some money - We really want to make a good [p. 2] decent thing of it[.] All the fellows are very keen about it

Abbey[3] and Sandys[4] have made drawings Macbeth[5] and Wyllie[6] have etched tables of contents Parsons[7] has done the title Day[8] is doing the cover - Phil May[9] some thing and we want a Whistler[,] isent there some [p. 3] thing you could let us have

It will be reproduced or printed as well as possible and we want the whole thing to be good - so - we want you
