Dear Mr Reid -
Very many thanks for the care and trouble you have taken -
However I have not sent the pastels to the Champs de Mars after all -
I decided finally not to send anything this time - and the pastels would have been too little - and at the same time too much by themselves! -
I shall have to borrow [p. 2] them again - Meanwhile I am delighted to see them again - and I think I may add a touch or two by way of thanking their owners for their courtesy -
I am busy - and one of these days, may show you something "de très amusant" as they say - rather carelessly here -
