Dear Mr Coggeshall -

Your letter[4] of the 19th has been forwarded to me, here -

I have been for the past month or two - travelling to get rid of the effects of cold or influenza - and cannot say with certainty at what exact date I shall return to Paris -

However if Mr Canfield[5] will write, when he himself is there, to 86 Rue. Notre Dame des Champs, I will try and make some appointment with him - with pleasure -

I remember meeting my Brother's[6] friends, at the time you speak of, on several occasions - And Clinton Winans[7] was an old friend of my own - Do you still see his Brother Walter[8]? -

And I am very faithfully yours -

J. McNeill Whistler.

Ajaccio.
Corsica
