My dear Mr. Hanson -
The condition of things with me has been for long past anything but prosperous. The account overdrawn - and I am at present not much better able to help you than the Captain[3] -
Enclosed I send ten pounds - You had better go and see the Doctor[4] and [p. 2] if he thinks so, get out of town for a week or so -
If there is anything in the way of helping about some place or appointment we will I doubt not write -
This is late to register so you must let me know by return that you received it all right -
