Dear Dr Whistler,

I write to remind ask you to please send me the cheque as promised - as I am have already under[made some slight?] includes gone to some expense in working at my invention. [Do send me?] Kindly send cheque to 16 Feather

If you want to increase the light giving power of your storage battery you might have the incandescent lamp placed in a reading lamp thus:-

[Diagram of lamp and fixings & labelled, inscribed:] 'wood or ebonite ... section'

[p. 2] I made a mistake the other way, I find that

I find that

Th You cannot increase the candle power of your lamp i.e., have a 30 c.p. lamp for example without increasing the coupè of your storage battery. But [you?] if you want more light you can have two lamps place one lamp in a reading lamp as shown and then I dont think you will want a bull's eye or you can have two lamps placed in (connection in parallel) each the same as you have now thus:-

or put both inside a reading lamp[.] If you tell the man who makes the [Muater?] to connect both lamps in parallel he will understand. But Capt thinks one lamp[6] in the reading lamp, as shown, over page will give you as much light as you require - for it will concentrate the light. and[7]
