Dear Mr Whistler

May I remind you of a small picture "Annabel Lee[2]" which I bought of you now a very long time ago! & to account of which I paid you £100 at the time. Not for the purpose of pressing you to complete what I presume you now no longer care for, but simply to ask if it would be agreeable to you to let me have it unfinished

If my recollection does not mislead me it was quite sufficiently attractive in the state I bought it in, to be a pleasant addition to my collection.

Believe me
Yours faithfully

Wm Graham
