There is a little brown paper drawing that curiously enough I believe he bought at the sale of the White House[4] when I was in Venice - one of the scrapings of the studio as usual - but I daresay pretty - I think Mrs White[5] would like to have it -

r.: Maud Franklin; v.: Study of Maud Franklin (M.693), bought by Wilde at auction, London, Sotheby, 12-13 February 1880 (lot 82), was sold at Wilde's sale, by Bullock, London, 24 April 1895 (lot 123) and bought by Thomson for JW for 15 gns. He did not sell it, and it came with his estate to the University of Glasgow.
