My dear Sauter -
I can only suppose that a long letter I wrote you at least a month ago - containing cutting anent our friends the "Generals", never reached you! -
So now I hope you will sit down and write me all you make out that has happened at Southampton -
With kindest regards
Yours sincerely
J. McNeill Whistler.
Sunday.
I mean let us know clearly that the "great Heroes" did not in any way compromise themselves with King or Kitchener or "Joseph"[3] or the rest of them.
