The "Sorcerer", my dear Miss Collins, is always at your service - and when one of these days you do him the honour to breakfast in The [Tree ?] Yellow[3], he will, though you say you are not "curious" - he knows you to be "dainty" - answer all your questions.

Notes:
1. [August 1888/1890?]
Dated from known association of correspondents
2. Mabel Collins
Mabel Collins (1851-1927), journalist and theosophist [more]. Collins probably wanted to interview JW.
3. Yellow
JW's dining room was decorated in yellow; the colours and arrangement of his food and china were said to complement this decor. His Sunday 'breakfasts' were a famous meeting place for stars of the theatre, literature and the arts, as well as collectors and leaders of fashion.
