Identity:
Alfred Joseph Woolner was a painter who was born in Exeter and later lived in Maida Vale and Hornsey.
Life:
He studied in Italy and painted genre subjects in the manner of Watteau. He was a member of the Society of British artists and exhibited three hundred and fifty five paintings at Suffolk Street. He also exhibited at the British Institution and the Royal Academy between 1827 and 1850.
