John L. Wimbush was a figurative and landscape painter and illustrator. He worked in London from 1890-1902 and then in Dartmouth.
Life:
He contributed to The Strand Magazine from 1891, The World Wide Magazine [1898]; The Idler and The Boy's Own Magazine.
He is referred to in JW's correspondence about 1897.
