Identity:
Alfred Wigan was a playwright, writer of farces and comedies, and theatre manager.
Leonora Pincott married him in 1841. She appeared in comedies and farces at Drury Lane, Lyceum, Olympic and Queen's. She died in April 1884 in her 79th year.
Life:
He was successively manager of the Olympic, St James and Queen's Theatre, Long Acre, London (which opened in 1867). The Wigans retired in 1872. Both JW and Alan S. Cole were friends of the Wigans.
