Identity:
Walter was a barrister, later Master of the Supreme Court.
Life:
Walton was called to the bar in 1874, worked in the exchequer division from 1875-79 and became a Master of Science in Criminal Justice in 1879. He was in contact with Whistler in 1878, only, as far as is known, in a legal capacity.
