Lady Dorothy Nevill née Walpole, was a history, travel and memoir writer.
Life:
Her works include Mannington and the Walpoles, Earls of Orford (1894) andLeaves from the notebooks of Lady Dorothy Nevill (1907).
She was also a leading society hostess and her salons attracted authors, journalists, statesmen, and diplomats. She may have known JW in the mid-seventies, when her name appears in an address book (#12714).
