Identity:
Mrs W. R. S. Markwell.
Life:
The Markwells were patrons of JW. In 1868 or 1873 JW sent Mrs Markwell some etchings to atone for a missed engagement [#04241]. Fanny Marks, the wife of Edward Mansfield Marks, was the executrix of W. R. S. Markwell's will. At W. R. S. Markwell's death in 1873, JW owed him £64.0.9 for 'goods sold and deliveries' and a writ was served by Fanny Marks in order to reclaim the money [#12147].
