Daniel Conner Lathbury was a barrister and journalist.

Life:

He never practised as a barrister but wrote for the Daily News, the Saturday Review and the Spectator. He was also the author of biographies of William Gladstone and Dean Church.

He may have known JW in the mid-seventies, when his name appears in an address book (#12714).
