Identity:
Joseph ('Jef')-Maria-Thomas Lambeaux was a sculptor of portrait busts and mythological subjects.
Life:
He studied at the Antwerp Academie and later exhibited at the Salons in Brussels and Paris. In 1883, he was one of the founder members of the Belgian exhibition group Les XX although a lack of sympathy with its more avant garde ideas meant that his involvement did not last long.
He was involved in the International Society of Sculptors, Painters and Gravers when JW was President.
