Margaret Hall was apparently a prospective patron of JW in the late 1890s. She commissioned a portrait and may have had sittings for it, although no further trace of it has been found. Bernardine Hall, her sister, was also in touch with JW at this time.
She was probably staying with or renting from Colonel Robert Jago whose name appears at 23 Wilton Place in the 1896 and 1897 directories.
