Mrs Sarah E. Garlant was the proprietor of Garlant's Hotel, London, where Whistler stayed on and off for periods during the 1890s.
Life:
She appears to have taken good care of Whistler, although the hotel was, apparently, excessively respectable and the cooking uninspired.
