Charles Dod was a solicitor.
Life:
Dod studied at Trinity College, Cambridge, and was elected to the Bar in 1854. He later became a partner in Dod and Longstaffe, with John Laurance Longstaffe, Ernest Victor Longstaffe and Thomas Collingwood Fenwick at 16 Berners Street, West London, a partnership which acted on behalf of the London Association for the Protection of Trade. He was the Commissioner for The Law Society Calendar.
In 1879 JW was declared bankrupt. He owed Dod and Longstaffe's client Louis Herrman of Gilbert and Herrman, artists' suppliers, £110 (#08877).
