Dennis was co-author, with T. R. Way, of a book on JW (Way, Thomas Robert, and G. R. Dennis,, The Art of James McNeill Whistler, London, 1904). He edited a number of literary works including The Prose Works of Jonathan Swift (1897) and Walter Savage Landor's Pericles & Aspasia (1903).
