Identity:
Joseph-Rodefer DeCamp was a portrait and figure painter.
Life:
DeCamp studied under Frank Duveneck and at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Munich. He received an honourable mention at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1900.
JW perhaps met DeCamp in Venice, Duveneck having taken his 'boys' there in 1880. A year later in 1881 Maud Franklin requested to Otto Bacher, a former student of Duveneck in Venice, that JW and herself be remembered to DeCamp [#11621].
