J. H. Copleston was a journalist.
Copleston worked in the editorial department of the Evening News and Post, 12 Whitefriars Street, Fleet Street. In 1891 he was in correspondence with JW concerning a newspaper clipping entitled 'Is Art Upon the Town?', a satirical reference to JW's Ten O'Clock Lecture. The article quoted from a lecture 'The Folly of Art' by JW's enemy Sheridan Ford.
