33. Rue de Tournon. Paris -

Dear Sir -

Very many thanks for so kindly attending to the bank matter - and for all the kind trouble you took with the etchings -

When next you write, tell me if you remembered to deliver the messages to Mr Huish[4] about the new prices for his proofs, and what he said -

There has arrived, or will arrive [p. 2] Private[5] a Mr Waggamann[6] from Washington - He has I am told a very choice Gallery - and would like a Whistler - Tried for Potters little White Girl[7] - through his representative, a Mr Brooke[8], friend - or dealer? - in Holland - I wrote and said that picture is sold - so dont encourage any hope there - or say anything about it - Brooke saw it at Munich[9] -

Try and sell him the Falling Rocket[10] - I said to Brooke that I would like 800. net - If he is a picture dealer, and you know him, you can make that all right, but I want 800. net

Very faithfully Yrs

J. McN. Whistler.
