Sunday
May 22.

110. Rue du Bac.

My dear Ludovici -

I have sent over one or two letters to the Vice President[4] to read at the next meeting - so mind you go! - and let me hear all about it -

Meanwhile do write me a little letter and give me all the news and what is said - for I have seen nothing - and none of the papers! -

Still I gather that, as a exhibition [p. 2] it is a great success! - and must be an awful trial to the Academy -

Now did you go down like a good fellow, and yourself see to the proper tilting forward of my pictures?

Do tell me of this for it would be a great relief to me to know that was, at last, all right - Quésne[5] told me that the Forains[6] must be there, as they had been sent on to you two or three days before mine -

With kindest regards to your Wife[7],
Very Sincerely Yours

J McNeill Whistler
