I BEG TO INFORM YOU THAT A MEETING OF THE COUNCIL WILL BE HELD ON Monday. NEXT, THE 26th inst AT 5 O'CLOCK IN THE afterNOON.

[p. 2] The following propositions are before the Council

1 Proposed by Mr Howard seconded by Mr Walton[4]. - That no member of the Council propose for invitation any artist with whose work he is unfamiliar, and that in cases where the knowledge is limited to one or two works that the invitation be restricted to such.

2 Proposed by Mr Pennell[5] seconded by Mr Howard - That the following clause be added to future forms of invitation. Though every endeavour will be made to hang at least one work of those sent in by the invited, the Council will not be responsible if none of the works sent by any particular artist should be hung.

[3] Proposed by Mr Pennell seconded by Mr Ludovici[6] That a subcommittee be appointed at next council meeting to formulate a constitution and set of rules for the Society
