Alexander Skirving was a Glasgow architect.
Life:
He exhibited between 1880 and 1913 at the Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts and the Royal Scottish Academy. In 1891 he was a signatory to a petition urging Glasgow Corporation to purchase Arrangement in Grey and Black, No. 2: Portrait of Thomas Carlyle (YMSM 137) (#12326).
