Life:
She corresponded with a wide circle of literary and artistic figures including Henry James, Royal Cortissoz, Forbes-Robertson, John La Farge, Harper Pennington (who mentions her in a letter to JW, Joseph Pennell, St Gaudens, Troubetzkoy, Ellen Terry and Herbert Beerbohm Tree. She wrote books about fans, the education of the blind and about European travel for women, and edited La Farge's The Gospel Story in Art, New York, 1913.
