Identity:
Ernest Haskell was a printmaker and landscape and portrait painter.
Life:
Born in Connecticut, he studied in Paris from 1897, returning to New York in 1899 where he engaged in portraiture and poster design. He was a prolific printmaker. He was known to JW about 1899. Examples of his work are in the National Gallery of Art, Washington DC.
