Elizabeth Mary Susannah Craft was a cheesemonger in Knightsbridge, who traded under the name of 'John Craft'.

In 1878 JW owed Craft £35.12.7 (#08981). The Craft v. Whistler case was heard in February 1878 (#12185) JW seems to have tried and failed to pay off part of the debt by instalment (#12192) By May 1878, Craft's solicitor Edmund Newman was requesting payment of the balance (#12195) This latest request seems also to have been unsuccessful as Craft appears on the list of creditors drawn up at the time of JW's bankruptcy in May 1879 (#11926)

Both John Craft, at 47 St George's Place, Hyde Park Corner, and Mrs Mary Craft, at 22 Philpot Lane, London, EC, appear in the directory in 1881.
