Dr Alexandre-Jacques-François Brierre de Boismont was a psychoanalyst and Director of the maison de santé in Paris.
Boismont was the principal assistant commissioner to the mayor of the eleventh District of Paris and the Director of the clinic at No. 303, Faubourg St. Antoine, and was the doctor who certified the death of James Reeves Traer, Francis Seymour Haden's medical partner [#11801]. He was the author of numerous books, particularly on insanity, between 1827-1871.
