Baronne Alice or Alix d'Anethan was a painter who studied with the Belgian artist Alfred Stevens.


Alix d'Anethan was a friend of JW and Puvis de Chavannes (who painted her portrait). William Rothenstein met her in Paris: 'distinguished looking, with a finely tempered intelligence [...] How proud I was of her encouragement!'
