BEEFSTEAK CLUB,
KING WILLIAM STREET,
STRAND, W. C.
Messrs Jackson & Graham -
Gentlemen -
I am still unable to live[3] in my rooms in Tite Street, - and I beg most distinctly to point out to you that the Quarters for which I am supposed to be paying rent are uninhabitable -
There is not a single grate in it's [sic] place - and the workmen[4] told me yesterday of certain [p. 2] hesitation as to continuing the coloring of the rooms according to my directions until further orders from yourselves -
I am Gentlemen
Very truly yours
J A McN. Whistler
