CHELSEA EMBANKMENT
First many thanks for the pretty little card! How kind in your way dear Rose to think of me other than as a great source of never ending trouble! -
Pray make my compliments to Mr Todd[4] and say how pleased I shall be to dine with him on Monday the 7th. We will go together can we not? - The
[p. 2] The [sic] affair of Levy[5] and the picture is a transaction of Howells[6] which he must explain - could you not telegraph for him? -
Also he will arrange with you about any further steps in the Oetzman[7] business -
I shall try hard to get on with the work and meanwhile will come to you whenever you send for me -
You know that I have given Levy £5 - 0 - 0 - the fiver I told you about on my first visit -
What a relief it will be when this [Burn?] is out! - Howell may perhaps get some money together but I can only work -
Ever Yours
