TELEGRAMS, - BOUSSOD, LONDON.
2 June 1892.
Dear Sir,
We found that Mr Palmer[2] had suddenly gone to Paris & probably to the Barbadienne[3] sale & we wired to you that if you could see him he might be induced to take the 'Falling Rocket[4]' which Mrs Palmer[5] likes immensely. In any case we shall see them tomorrow & try our [p. 2] very utmost to sell this picture.
We do not like to be able to sell other peoples examples while we do not sell your own & in fact it is hardly fair. But what can we do? It is really only a question of price & we ought to be able to get you £600 net for this.
Ruskin[6] books to hand - many thanks.
Enclosed is from Geo Thomson[7] this morning in answer to ours stirring him up.
Will write tomorrow
Yours vy truly
