Batolomeo Bezzi was an Italian artist and teacher.

Life:

Bezzi studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan from 1871. Influenced by the Milan artist Filippo Carcano, Bezzi took to landscape. He became known for his atmospheric views of Venice although he also painted genre. Moving to Venice in 1890, he was one of the artists responsible for the admittance of foreign artists to the I Esposizione Internazionale d'Arte della Cittŕ di Venezia in 1895. Whistler was one of the artists invited to exhibit.
