Dear Deschamps -
I dare say you thought that by this time I should have been back in town, or you would have answered my note- I shall however remain here until Sunday evening - so do write please and tell me as I begged you to, whether my pictures from the Dudley are now safely hanging in your care up stairs in my gallery? Also about the pictures for Paris - have they arrived safely. Tell me in short all any [sic] news you [p. 2] may have - and if you can get me a proof of the photograph Parsons has taken of my Mothers picture I wish you would send it to me here so that I may receive it by at least Sunday morning at latest - after that it would be too late -
Very truly Yrs
J A McN Whistler
